Product Description
KitchenAid’s Mini Food Processor is so versatile, it can handle up to 3-cups of ingredients for salsas, sauces, relishes, dips, pesto, baked goods and much more. Use the pulse control for precise operation. A locking domed lid includes a through compartment for adding ingredients as you go and the “reverse spiral action” stainless steel blade pulls food down into the blade and ensures uniform chopping throughout, so you will hardly ever find yourself scraping down the bowl. The KitchenAid quality is especially evident in its construction — a heavy base adds stability while your processor is in use and the sealed housing reduces noise. When you’re done processing, simply wipe off the seamless base and put the other parts in the dishwasher for cleaning. Chopper even comes with a Review
With a 3-cup work bowl and 240 watts of power, this chopper is ideal for small jobs and for making sauces, frostings, and dressings. The stainless-steel blade’s reverse spiral action pulls food down, minimizing scraping and producing uniform chopped meat, nuts, cheese, vegetables, herbs–all the many foods for which the chopper is intended. For adding ingredients while the chopper is running, the lid has two compartments, one for dry items and the other for wet. For precise control, the chopper’s electronic pulse pad responds instantaneously. The heavy power base provides stability and is seamless, making cleanup a simple matter of wiping the base and placing all the parts in the dishwasher. The chopper stands just 9-1/2 inches high and has cord storage inside the base. A stiff spatula is included. Should the chopper fail during its first year, KitchenAid’s total replacement warranty guarantees delivery of another machine. –Fred Brack

  • I have a closet full of items “Made in China” that don’t work ( the bread-warming “toaster”, the “Mad Max” hand-held mixer, the non-humidifiying humidifier, the “size 13” golf shoes that don’t fit my 13 year old niece, etc.) I flatly refuse to buy anything made in china unless it’s made of bamboo or ceramic.

Unless your product information lists the country of manufacture, I ain’t buying.

How about a “Made in the USA” page???

  • I expected this item to be “made in France” since the product description on Cooking.Com states “Origin: France”, but no luck there.

Looks like KitchenAid is another one of those corporations that decided to shift their production to China to make use of cheap, unorganized labour and to squeeze some extra cash out of the North American market.

The food processor works ok. It’s smaller that I thought it would be, and it’s *very* noisy for its size. The chord wraps around the base, but it’s a hassle to wrap it. Retractive cord would be *much* better.

I generally try to avoid to buy appliances with “Made in China” label on them, since they are known for their poor quality. Plus, I’d rather spend my money to support local manufacturers than our Communist comrades overseas.

  • broke the second time we used it. otherwise, maybe it was a good food processor?

  • I bought this on the basis of the other reviews & because it’s little (I thought it would be easier to manage than my larger Cuissinart). I do like it’s size but I don’t like the lack of functionality. To be truly useful, it needs to come with other blades (or at least we should be able to buy them). Dissapointed. I would not recommend.

  • THis unit seemed beautiful upon arrival…but it does not compare with cuisinart at all for food processing abilities. It is extremely hard to open the top – Even a young person has a hard time opening it let alone older folks. THe buttons do not easily start or stop the unit’s function.

I sent it back immediately. I thought about regifting it, but then thought someone would remember my ill-thought out gift for all eternity. Item that should work doesn’t work at all.

Kitchen aid I found is only good for one thing_ the big mixers.
