Created by Copco and inspired by Batali, the Italian Kitchen line of cookware and tools reflects the famous chef’s philosophy that great food needs no gimmicks. Durable, versatile, and high quality, the collection is perfect for the active home chef.

In spite of its simple construction, this handy tool more than earns its keep in the kitchen by separating a ball of dough into sections then cleaning up the counter. Great for pizza, pasta, and two-crust pies, the piece is crafted from non-porous silicone for stick-resistance with an angled blade that creates comfortable alignment. It runs through the dishwasher for easy cleanup and comes in a variety of attractive colors. –Emily Bedard

  • I got what I bought, a plastic bench scraper. It is thoughtfully designed with a ruler stamped on one side. It works fine, but I still want to get a good ol Metal one. But, that’s just me. :)

  • I bought the dough scraper in June 2009. It is already cracking along the seam of the scraper and the grip. I looked on the link to see what the return policy is and I have to pay to ship it back and there’s a restocking fee? Not worth it for a $5.00 item…

  • Use my formica countertop a lot for making bread and pasta dough. This product performs with no danger of scratching or cutting counter surface.

  • LOVE this tool, can’t be without it. Use it as a bench scraper when chopping for mis en place! Light weight, slightly flexible, angled to help guide the food into a cup or bowl or pan.

  • I bought this particular dough separator to break up the little chunks of hamburger as they were browning. You can use it on a non-stick pan. It is good for that, although a little short. To me, it is too thick to be an effective dough separator, but that is just me. For tasks like that I would prefer metal.
